Willis Knighton Health Employees

All employees may purchase additional insurance coverage. The premiums for this coverage are conveniently payroll deducted from the employee’s paycheck of benefit eligible employees.  For non-benefit eligible employees, premiums are set up on a monthly bank draft agreement.  The policies can be continued on a direct bill arrangement if the employee leaves employment with Willis Knighton Health in the future.

Short-Term Disability Buy-Up Insurance

*Guaranteed issue in the first 30-days of employment, available all year.

All employees may purchase short-term disability buy-up insurance that provides income replacement benefits when an employee is unable to work, helping you maintain financial stability during a difficult period. For benefit eligible employees, this benefit is in addition to the short-term disability coverage provided by Willis Knighton.

Individual Income Protection (Long-Term Disability Buy-Up Insurance)

All employees may apply for long-term disability buy-up insurance. This policy is an individual, fully medically underwritten policy and requires an application with medical questions. All applicable discounts are portable should an individual leave the employment of Willis Knighton in the future.

Life Insurance

*Guaranteed issue in the first 30-days of employment, available all year.

All employees have an opportunity to purchase, on an after-tax basis, life insurance coverage. Employees may also purchase this coverage for other eligible family members: spouse and children and grandchildren up to age 26.

Critical Illness Insurance with Cancer Rider

*Guaranteed issue in the first 30-days of employment, available all year.

All employees may purchase a critical illness policy that would pay an employee a lump-sum benefit in the event they (or a covered family member) were diagnosed with a defined critical illness including cancer. This policy is considered an “income supplement policy” and a benefit in addition to benefits paid under employees’ medical insurance policy.

Accident Insurance

*Guaranteed issue and available all year.

All employees have an opportunity to purchase, on an after-tax basis, group accident insurance coverage. Accident insurance is designed to help covered employees meet the out-of-pocket expenses and extra bills that can follow an accidental injury, whether minor or catastrophic. Benefits are paid directly to the employee based on the amount of coverage listed in the schedule of benefits. Employees may also purchase this coverage for other eligible family members.
